MATILDA

This school year in the Spanish school we have work through the book Matilda by

Roald Dahl. 6th grade students read the book and 4th and 5th grade students watched the

film as an introduction for the reading of the book in future years. They really enjoyed

Matilda’s story and felt very fascinated with the character. But students were also

fascinated about the author Roald Dalh. They loved his interesting and particular life and

were impressed to know that he is the author of many films they have watched and books

they have already read. We discovered the author’s life and worked Matilda’s story with

some worksheets adapted from Roald Dahl’s official website and some other Internet

resources. Students showed their interest and enthusiasm in reading more Roald Dahl’s

stories.
