Pupils at Vigo Village School were delighted to have the experience to meet children's author and illustrator Charlotte Firmin. Each class took part in a workshop with Charlotte, where together they shared ideas and came up with key points for their plot. Charlotte then worked with the pupils to write and illustrate their very own class book to keep in school based on the children's plans. Pupils at Vigo found this experience engaging, exciting and were bursting with enthusiasm in each session. To see their ideas transformed into their very own book illustrated by a 'real-life' illustrator has sparked a real love for reading. We hope you enjoy reading Key Stage One's effort.
